I can't believe it's Thanksgiving next week. No, like, I seriously can't believe it. Is this some sort of sick joke? I'm not ready. (Nor, more importantly, is my body.) Where'd the year go? Hannah’s right-minded response (“Fuck this shit I’m out”) foreshadows a sequence that refashions one of last year’s most misogynistic (ghét đàn bà) scenes into feminist revenge fantasy, as the heroine shouts out the names of abused movie characters - Lupita Nyong’o in 12 Years a Slave gets a namecheck - while giving Christian a taste of his own medicine: “This is for the little white girl in 50 Shades of Grey,” she cries, meta-textually, “Did she have to be naked the whole fucking movie? That shit was just gratuitous (vô cớ).”
