Morality (đạo đức, phẩm hạnh) is an idea that can apply only to the actions (hành động) of free individuals (cá nhân tự do). A person who is forced (bị ép buộc) to act in some way, even in a beneficial (có ích, có lợi, tốt) way, cannot be said to have moral agency. Free societies (xã hội tự do), free markets (thị trường tự do) and free trade (thương mại tự do) are therefore necessary for moral action.
