Không thể 'bình dân hóa' luận án tiến sĩ

trường đại học ở nước Anh bị chỉ trích vì cho phép luận án tiến sĩ về... thủ dâm... :))

A "Ph.D. in masturbation (thủ dâm)" has gotten a UK university lots of criticism (chỉ trích). Karl Andersson detailed his controversial research (nghiên cứu gây tranh cãi) in a recently published article (bài báo công bố gần đây).

Andersson revealed (tiết lộ) that, during the study, he masturbated to erotic (khiêu dâm) Japanese comics (truyện tranh) called "shota." He would make notes afterward (sau đó ghi chép lại).

His thesis (luận án) pointed out that the comics usually involve "young boy characters in a cute, or most often, sexually explicit way."

The visual anthropologist (nhà nhân loại học) argued that the purpose (mục đích) of the study was to help explain (giải thích) how people "experience sexual pleasure when reading shota."

Initially (ban đầu), he did interviews (phỏng vấn) and surveys (khảo sát), but this form of research did not go anywhere (không đi đến đâu). At this point, he decided to take matters into his own hands (giành về tự quyết) and play a more active role (vai trò chủ động) in the study.

He decided to masturbate to the comics and make detailed notes about his experiences. Throughout the study, he also had a self-imposed ban (lệnh cấm tự áp đặt) on other forms of porn (khiêu dâm) or sex with another person (làm tình với người khác).

Andersson's article has been published in the Journal of Qualitative Research. The title read: "I am not alone - we are all alone: Using masturbation as an ethnographic (dân tộc học) method in research on shota subculture in Japan."
