A young boy in Jashpur district, India, has become famous (nổi tiếng) in his local community  (cộng đồng địa phương) for taking on a dangerous predator (dã thú). Deepak was attacked by a cobra (rắn hổ mang) while playing in his yard (chơi trong sân)—but he fought back and won. The cobra reportedly wrapped itself around eight-year-old Deepak's hand, forcing him to do whatever it took to remove the poisonous (có nọc độc) snake (con rắn). "It all happened in a flash," Deepak told local media. Here's how he managed to get the cobra off him and survive the gruesome attack (cuộc tấn công khủng khiếp).

...Deepak's parents were understandably alarmed by the incident and jumped into action. They took their son to a nearby health care center where doctors immediately treated him for snake bite injuries. "He was quickly administered anti-snake venom and kept under observation (theo dõi) for the entire day and discharged (ra viện, xuất  viện)," says Dr. Jems Minj, the block medical officer.

According to authorities, the snake didn't actually release any venom (nọc độc) into Deepak, which made his recovery (hồi phục) faster.
