Stokes-Adams syndrome (also called Adams-Stokes syndrome or cardiac syncope) is a sudden, brief (ngắn) loss of consciousness (ý thức) from a large drop in cardiac output. This happens because of an abnormal heart rhythm (nhịp tim) and a change in heart rate. You faint (ngất xỉu) because your brain’s not getting enough oxygen-carrying blood.
Stokes-Adams or Adams-Stokes syndrome is a periodic fainting spell in which there is intermittent (không liên tục) complete heart block or other high-grade arrhythmias (loạn nhịp tim) that result in loss of spontaneous circulation and inadequate blood flow to the brain.
Acute myocardial infarction is mostly caused by coronary atherosclerotic stenosis or thrombosis. Myocardial infarction directly caused by left fascicular (tụ lại thành bó) pacing is rarely reported.We reported a 60-year-old male patient who accepted left bundle branch pacing (LBBP). After operation (phẫu thuật), this patient experienced acute myocardial (cơ tim) infarction (AMI), Adams-stokes syndrome and was treated successfully at last.
