King emphasized (nhấn mạnh) the importance of reordering one’s priorities as the true path to distinction and greatness by being “first in love.”
The award, in its second year, is given to a resident of Bay, Saginaw and Midland counties who selflessly (vị tha) perform acts of service to make their community a better place. It was created by the Great Lakes Bay Regional MLK Celebration event committee. The concept behind the award stems from a speech given on Feb. 4, 1968 by Martin Luther King Jr. titled “Drum Major Instinct.”
