A motorcycle crash dislocated (làm chệch) a man's testicle (tinh hoàn) and knocked it inside his own body.
The man, in his 20s, arrived at an emergency department after a road traffic accident in Italy pushed his testicle into his abdomen (bụng dưới), leaving him in excruciating (rất đau đớn) pain.
His right teste had been forced from its usual spot in the scrotum (bìu) — the thin sac of skin keeping the testicles in place — through a small passageway (lối đi nhỏ) in the groin (háng) and up into the abdomen.
It is unusual for trauma (đau đớn) to dislocate the testicles enough so that they leave the scrotum, doctors said in the BMJ Case Reports.
Roughly 80 percent of reported cases are in men in their mid-20s who have been in a motorcycle accident, they found in a literature review. Only in around six percent of the cases do the testicles travel as far as the abdomen.
