Meta’s long-promised AI-enabled vision features (các tính năng hỗ trợ thị giác AI) for the company’s Ray-Ban Smart Glasses are finally incoming, allowing the onboard (tích hợp) AI to see (nhìn), hear (nghe), and interpret (diễn giải) its environment (môi trường) through the glasses’ 12 MP camera (máy ảnh) and microphone (cái mic). The company proclaimed (tuyên bố) late Tuesday that these new AI-vision features are now available (có sẵn) in beta. There’s a whole lot of utility (tiện ích) for a mobile AI that can see and hear, but leave it to Meta’s leadership (Sự lãnh đạo của Meta) to show off the new feature in the most awkward (khó xử) and trite (nhàm chán) way possible.
Meta CEO (giám đốc điều hành) and frontman (người đứng đầu) Mark Zuckerberg isn’t exactly known for his style. On Tuesday evening, Zuckerberg decided the best way to show off the Smart Glasses’ upcoming AI capabilities was to take his pair into his cluttered closet (tủ quần áo bừa bộn). He pulled out a large navy blue polo shirt (áo thun polo cỡ lớn màu xanh hải quân) streaked with throwback rainbow stripes (sọc cầu vồng).
... Zuckerberg also posted another video to his Instagram showing how the AI could translate (dịch) a meme from Spanish to English. For the moment, the AI voice still sounds stilted (cứng ngắc) and robotic, but the company implemented (thực hiện) celebrity-voiced AI personas (nhân vật AI được lồng tiếng bởi người nổi tiếng) for users to chat with inside Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp, so more than likely, Meta will try and eventually make the feature seem more human.
