Người đàn ông Úc sống sót sau khi bị cá sấu tấn công bằng cách cắn trả

Cattle producer (người chăn nuôi gia súc) Colin Deveraux has spent a month in hospital (nằm viện một tháng) after being bitten by the 3.2m (10ft) saltwater (nước mặn) crocodile in the Northern Territory.
He told ABC News he bit the crocodile's eyelid (mí mắt) in his struggle to survive.

Mr Deveraux said his ordeal (thử thách) began after he stopped at a billabong (lake) while he was travelling to build fencing (hàng rào) near the Finniss River last month.

He paused by the lake after noticing fish swimming in the middle of its retreating waters. After he stepped away again, the crocodile "latched" (bám) onto his right foot, shaking him like a "rag doll" and pulling him into the water.

he first tried kicking the crocodile in the ribs (sườn) with his other foot - before biting the reptile back.

...crocodiles are the basis for an important industry in the Northern Territory and are protected by law.

They are considered to be of huge scientific and human interest as well as a valuable tourist attraction (điểm thu hút khách du lịch có giá trị).

The last fatal (gây chết người) crocodile attack happened in April this year on the Kennedy River in Cape York Peninsula, Queensland.
