ceo Chip Bergh của hãng quần áo levi đề xuất mặc quần khi tắm để chống khủng hoảng biến đổi khí hậu...
-----
The CEO of a major clothing company (công ty quần áo lớn) has suggested wearing pants in the shower (khi đi tắm) to combat (chống) the climate crisis (biến đổi khí hậu).
Levi’s CEO Chip Bergh revealed (tiết lộ) that he wears his jeans in the shower because he believes it saves energy and water while eliminating pollution (loại bỏ ô nhiễm), according to the Daily Mail. He cited (trích dẫn) environmental science, claiming that washing machines are causing “toxic microfibers (các vi sợi độc hại)” from denim (vải bông chéo) to build up (tích tụ) “in aquatic ecosystems (trong hệ sinh thái dưới nước).”
“If they get really gross, you know, if I’ve been out sweating or something, I’ll wash them in the shower,” Bergh said, per the outlet (theo tờ báo), explaining that he does not wash his pants frequently (thường xuyên), but when he does, he simply “scrubs them with soap as a person might wash their own legs.”
“If I drop some curry on my jeans, I’m gonna clean it,” the CEO said. “But I’ll spot clean.”
The Mail notes that, “[i]n 2020, researchers found that synthetic (tổng hợp) indigo (màu chàm) denim fibers (sợi) comprised (bao gồm) almost a quarter (một phần tư) of microfibers (sợi nhỏ) deposited in (lắng đọng) the Great Lakes and around the Canada-US border (biên giới).”
