She gets power by being a victim, attention by being elusive, respect by being irresponsible, success by being a basket case.

What a wedding (đám cưới)! First the groom (chú rể) couldn't find the ring, then his ex-girlfriend showed up. By the time she left on her honeymoon (tuần trăng mật) the bride was a basket case (hầu như hoàn toàn tê liệt vì bị căng thẳng quá độ)!

The country is struggling with high unemployment (nạn thất nghiệp), and bankruptcies (nạn phá sản) are widespread. Is Germany the basket case of Europe?

A much better option now is selling AIB instead and then we can all retire to Bermuda and toast Angela Merkel while we drink cocktails on a beach. So, this isn't a loss for the government. It's a win. And, if you believe that, you've already hit the cocktail bar. It's strange, how things work out, isn't it? AIB, the basket case bank that the State was forced to pour over €20bn into, is now our great white hope.

Kissinger in his memoirs (hồi ký) rather diplomatically (ngoại giao) notes  that  "the  accumulated  nervous  strain"  had  caused  Nixon  to become "somewhat  overwrought"  and "increasingly  agitated." In private,  he  used  more  explicit  phrases, such   as  "basket  case"  and "drunk."
