"A drop in the bucket" = (chỉ là) một giọt trong xô nước. Cụm từ này tương đương với "Hạt muối bỏ biển" trong tiếng Việt, và dùng khi người ta muốn nói một vật/sự việc nào đó không quan trọng vì nó nhỏ bé.

Ví dụ
A: I'm sorry I scratched (làm trầy) your car.
B: Don't worry about it. It's just a drop in the bucket. That car has more scratches (vết xước) on it than I can count.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) on Tuesday announced a big, fat crackdown (trừng trị) in which it’s targeting (nhắm đến) operators responsible for one billion illegal robocalls (cuộc gọi quảng cáo đến từ robot). Or, using verbiage (dài dòng) more appropriate to our current robocall nightmare, “a drop in the bucket.”

Farid explained that the new tool will allow media companies to upload videos that will then be run through an analysis (phân tích). After that, his team will make an assessment (đánh giá) on whether it's real or not. But there are concerns that putting this kind of technology in the hands of the media doesn't address the rapid spread of these types of videos on social media. "Of course it's a drop in the bucket," Farid said. "The solution is not just technology. The solution is technology, good reporting, better digital citizens, better companies, better policies."
