"A sticky wicket" nghĩa là gì?

'A sticky wicket' = mặt sân bị ướt, khô nhanh dưới ánh nắng mặt trời và khó đánh bóng (trong môn cricket); nghĩa khác là tình huống khó giải quyết.
Ví dụ
Shahid Afridi is on a sticky wicket for dismissing his own daughters.
That was two years ago during a night out at the sticky wicket in the Strathcona Hotel. She says two men talked her up (ca ngợi, ủng hộ), slipped a drug into her drink then left. She’s not sure where they took her but she says she was raped (hiếp dâm).

The larger point is that what may appear a sticky wicket on the surface is actually a marketplace for opportunity, where India can gain access to the best of the US, which, in turn, puts it in a great bargaining (mặc cả, thương lượng) position with other powers, be it Europe, Russia or even China.
