"Cat got your tongue" nghĩa là gì?

đừng trách con bạn vì sao "câm như hến"... Photo courtesy: Evolution Labs
(Has the) cat got one's tongue?

Another said: "Tom is a good example of how boys act big and mighty in front of their mates and then act like the cat got their tongue when confronted (đối mặt)."

Not even half as much coverage (đưa tin) as kathua. What happened internet intellectuals, cat got your tongue? No outrage (xúc phạm) on the background of the perpetrators (thủ phạm)? You were so rattled (huyên thuyên) during Kathua.

Family members repeated idiotic phrases such as “What’s the matter cat got your tongue,” or “Smile, your face is cracking” in idiotic sing song voices designed to provoke (chọc giận) me into Public Displays of Emotion (PDE) — a serious shy girl no no.

When Dad was catching up with an assortment (phân loại) of small jobs, he referred to it as “piddling.” (ít quan trọng) A trip for him to the restroom was termed “seeing a man about a horse.” He greeted me after a day at school by saying: “Did you learn anything today?” I always knew if I didn’t talk much to Grandma Flairty, she’d say: “What’s the matter…cat got your tongue?”
