"Cry over spilt milk" nghĩa là gì?

"Cry over spilt milk" = khóc vì sữa đã đổ, câu này có nghĩa là tốn thời gian ngồi tiếc rẻ thứ gì đó đã mất trong quá khứ và không thể lấy lại được. Tục ngữ tiếng Việt cũng có một câu tương tự là "Tiếc con gà quạ tha".
Ví dụ
I can't believe we lost my favorite toy!
