"Go fly a kite" nghĩa là gì?

"Go fly a kite" = "go away", "get lost" = (văn nói) biến đi/ cút đi!; "Kite flying" là hoạt động thả diều, chắc hẳn hồi bé ai cũng chơi hoặc nhìn thấy. Nhưng thời nay ít gặp, cũng khó được chơi như xưa nữa, vì thế nên câu "go fly a kite" cũng ít nói hơn "get lost" hoặc "go away".

Typically, the old-fashioned (cổ hủ) and informal idiom, “Go fly a kite,” carries with it a connotation (hàm ý) of dismissal (xua đuổi) for an individual who is being annoying (gây phiền nhiễu), if not altogether overbearing (hách dịch). However, for the hundreds of enthusiastic participants attending the first-ever Great Lakes International Kite Festival, the impolite expression (biểu hiện bất lịch sự) meant, literally (theo nghĩa đen), to take their store-bought (mua tại cửa hàng) and hand-crafted (làm thủ công) kites to the wind at Headlands Beach State Park.
