"No bucks, no Buck Rogers" nghĩa là gì?

"No bucks, no Buck Rogers" có nghĩa không tiền, không du hành không gian. Cụm từ này xuất phát từ "The Right Stuff", một bộ phim về sự khởi đầu của cuộc thám hiểm không gian của Hoa Kỳ. "Bucks" là một thuật ngữ tiếng lóng chỉ tiền, trong khi "Buck Rogers" là một nhân vật truyện tranh du hành không gian vào đầu thế kỷ 20.

This is a blessing (may mắn, phước lành) and curse (lời nguyền). As many watching this hearing have heard before – “no bucks, no Buck Rogers.” NASA is getting the bucks, so now it’s time to deliver. Too often programs become complacent (tự mãn) when funding is taken for granted. Congress (Quốc hội) and NASA need to be good stewards (người quản lý) of taxpayer dollars.
