'On the downside' nghĩa là suy tính/tính toán/tính đến những điểm tiêu cực, bất lợi, đáng tiếc... của một tình huống/tình hình nào đó, nhất là khi tình huống đó (đáng nhẽ ra) được coi là có lợi ích.
