"A lie has no legs" = lời nói dối không có chân -> là lời nói dối không có gì để bảo vệ (không có chân, không có chỗ đứng) -> rât dễ bị nhận ra.

Ví dụ
How does one distinguish (phân biệt) truth from a lie? Conventional wisdom has it that a lie has no legs to stand. In contrast (ngược lại), truth is distinguished by the quality of being characterised (biểu thị) by a unique interpretation (một cách giải thích độc đáo) of its import.

Responding to Indian claims of surgical strikes (đình công), he categorically stated (phân loại rõ ràng), “Such strikes are not only held by mere words. A lie has no legs. Their own people do not support the surgical strikes’ claims as PM Modi has still not provided any evidence (bằng chứng) to them.” Asif Ghafoor told that war against terrorism (khủng bố) was a difficult journey.

For example, simply look at the so-called Suitgate scandal. Luckily, today Alabama has compliance officers (cán bộ tuân thủ) and an athletic (khỏe mạnh) director's office that are proactive (chủ động). Thomas Fuller once said, "A lie has no legs, but a scandal has wings." Let's pray for amputation (cắt cụt).
