"A pat on the back" nghĩa là gì?

"A pat on the back" = cái vỗ vào lưng -> ý chỉ lời lời khen ngợi vì đã hoàn thành tốt một việc gì đó.

Ví dụ

Mary, you deserve (xứng đáng) a pat on the back for what you have done in this project.

Romney deserves a pat on the back for recent climate (khí hậu) comments.

Robin, 21, recently got a huge pat on the back from her famous dad when he posted a super-sweet Instagram saying how proud he is of her.

We can’t really give them a pat on the back for the most basic things because that’s what they’re supposed to do.
