"A rose by any other name" nghĩa là gì?

"A rose by any other name (would smell as sweet)" = hoa hồng vẫn là hoa hồng cho dù gọi bằng bất cứ tên nào. Cụm từ này xuất hiện trong "Romeo và Juliet" của Shakespeare, có nghĩa một sự vật/ sự việc/ con người không quan trọng ở cái tên, ở cách người khác gọi mà nằm ở bản chất/ phẩm chất của chúng.
Ví dụ
A rose by any other name would smell as sweet, so William Shakespeare once wrote. He obviously (rõ ràng) didn’t account for (giải thích) the sons of famous footballers.
Blue and White No. 2 Yair Lapid responded to Barak’s choice by quoting (trích dẫn) from Shakespeare: “What’s in a name? That which we call a rose / By any other name would smell as sweet.”
A rose by any other name might smell as sweet, but will a film with just any name work its magic at the box office (phòng vé)? To click at the box office, a movie has to have the right name and that’s where the filmmakers (nhà làm phim) spend a lot of time and thought.
A rose by any other name … just might not sell. “I don’t care what it looks like or smells like, a bad name can kill the best rose,” said longtime rose breeder (người gây giống) Tom Carruth, who is the rose curator (người phụ trách) at the Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens.
