"The bloom is off the rose" nghĩa là gì?

"The bloom is off the rose" = hoa hồng mất vẻ tươi tắn -> điều gì đó/ ai đó không còn hấp dẫn, mới lạ hay thú vị như lúc đầu, được ví như một bông hồng mới tàn, không còn trong tình trạng đẹp nhất và tươi tắn nhất của nó.

Ví dụ
Mayor (thị trưởng) Pete seems to have eased back from his earlier highs, and stalled (ngăn cản, trì hoãn). As for Beto, he may be flailing (vẫy) those arms around like a drowning man — because he is one. The bloom is off the rose. Beto seems frozen at 4%.

Our chefs do a lot of themed (chủ đề) dinners with costumes, which the kids really enjoy, and later we watch movies under the stars. Right now, the bloom is not off the rose for Big Sky. We are all happy with the yacht, and watching our children grow up right in front of our eyes.

The bloom is off the rose for O’Rourke. He inspired (truyền cảm hứng) many people last year in Texas. He sold them on the possibility of winning a U.S. Senate (Thượng nghị viện) race. Despite overperforming (hoạt động tốt) then, in the most advantageous circumstances (hoàn cảnh), he fell short.
