"be my own mistress" nghĩa là gì?

'Be one's own mistress' = là chủ của chính mình -> từ này dành để nói về một người phụ nữ (mistress) không bị lệ thuộc hay kiểm soát bởi ai đặc biệt là trong công việc hay ở nhà. Hiểu một cách đơn giản là làm freelancer đó các bạn :D
Ví dụ
She tells him: ‘Please leave now, Ross. I am my own mistress and I will not be instructed (chỉ dạy).’
