Yeahhhh, chúng ta thắng rồi!!!! Photo by: Vince Fleming on Unsplash

"Beat the pants off" = đánh tụt quần -> câu lóng cho thấy việc đánh cho đối thủ thất bại thảm hại, bết xê lết, hủy diệt đối thủ. Tuy có từ "pants off" nhưng không có nghĩa là lột quần áo đâu nha các bạn.

Ví dụ
Who’s to say that Florida doesn’t go to Baton Rouge to face and injury-riddled (làm chấn thương) LSU and beat the pants off them? Or, Jake Fromm has an off game and the Gators take advantage (tận dụng thời cơ) and rip Georgia in Jacksonville?

In 1964, the players were getting $11 a day meal money and asked the owners for $17 as a way to start negotiating (đàm phán). The owners told them to buzz off (biến đi). “And that’s when we went out and got Marvin,” said Bouton. The game hasn’t been the same since Miller came in and beat the pants off the owners almost daily. Miller, of course, SHOULD be in the Hall of Fame.

But when the world got their hands on (chạm tay vào) the S 1000 RR, everyone realised that they couldn’t be more wrong! The original S 1000 RR turned out to be an absolute masterpiece (hoàn toàn là một tuyệt tác). Upon its launch in the market (sự trình làng), the S 1000 RR instantly became the top-dog of the litre-class segment (phân khúc moto 1000cc). It beat the pants off its rivals (đối thủ) and did it quite relentlessly (không ngừng). On top of that, it was the first superbike to introduce electronic rider aids (hỗ trợ điện tử cho người lái) like traction control (kiểm soát lực kéo) and quick-shifter (sang số nhanh). The S 1000 RR was a phenomenon (hiện tượng) in every sense of the word.
