"Below the belt" nghĩa là gì?

"Below the belt" = dưới thắt lưng -> ý chỉ lời nói, hành động mang tính không công bằng, không đúng luật, có nghĩa gần với cụm từ tiếng việt "chơi bẩn". Cụm này bắt nguồn từ môn quyền anh trong đó hành động đấm đối phương phía dưới thắt lưng là phạm luật.
Ví dụ
It's not unusual (bất thường) for presidential candidates (ứng cử viên tổng thống) to attack each other below the belt during election campaigns (chiến dịch bầu cử).
Josh McGuire’s sledge (lời trêu chọc, khiêu khích) to Blake Ferguson has been described as both “below the belt” and “defamatory (phỉ báng)”, setting up an intriguing (hấp dẫn) face-off (đối mặt) the next time the Origin stars meet.
In sports, nobody likes a “dirty” player — someone who hits below the belt, or someone who tries to knock the quarterback (tiền vệ) out of the game by ramming (nện) a helmet (mũ bảo hiểm) into his knee (đầu gối).
Why figuring out (tìm ra) your arguing (tranh luận) style is the key to a happy relationship (mối quan hệ)? Some styles, like hitting below the belt or invalidation (chối bỏ, không thừa nhận) are especially destructive (tiêu cực) approaches (cách tiếp cận) to arguing. Other styles maybe more productive (hiệu quả) ultimately (sau cùng).
