"Cash on the nail" nghĩa là gì?

"Cash on the nail" = tiền trên móng tay -> Thanh toán được thực hiện ngay lập tức, tại chỗ và không có sự trì hoãn nào.

Ví dụ
“It’s time to put cash on the nail and build UC’s construction management (quản lý xây dựng) training center,” Schumer said. “And I promise you today I’m going to do everything I can to get the funds (quỹ) for this great program.”

If the latter claim were true, it would follow that it would be impossible to have a system where there was money but no debt. Of course that's a bit of a hypothetical (giả thuyết) system or society, but a culture where no one wished to go into debt is certainly a theoretical possibility: i.e. everyone would want to pay cash on the nail for everything. So let's examine (xem xét) such a hypothetical society to see if it's possible for commercial banks to supply a form of money without anyone going into debt.

I bought my cooperS in Feb of 2004 and I also paid cash on the nail and after 13 years total parts and labor is under $400 (pot holes in Maine did for the right front sport suspension (giảm sóc) twice) so far in 150,000 miles still does not use oil between the 5000 mile changes I need to replace the winter sand damaged windshield (kính chắn gió) this year and thats it…. The first car I ever ordered from the factory with just the options I wanted.
