"Fall off the wagon" nghĩa là gì?

"Fall off the wagon" = ngã khỏi xe ngựa -> quay trở lại rượu chè sau một thời gian bỏ, thường nói về việc hồi phục người nghiện rượu (trái nghĩa với nó là "on the wagon", duy trì sự tỉnh táo của một người, kiêng rượu kiêng mai thúy). Câu này còn có thể hiểu là sự quay trở lại với một thói quen đã dừng hẳn, thường là theo hướng bất lợi.
Ví dụ
Ace was the lovable f---up in Kiss. So people love to think he still is. People look for that. ... People want him to fall of the wagon, they want him to be a mess (mớ lộn xộn), or they just perpetuate (ghi nhớ mãi) that he still is a mess because it's more fun that way.
One friend told how he consistently (kiên định) puts himself in “unhealthy situations”, as he surrounds himself with party girls and old drinking pals who have seen him fall of the wagon in the past but continued to encourage him to join them.
According to Star, now that Spears’s latest tour has ended, “her fitness freak boyfriend, Sam Asghari, is worried she’ll fall of the wagon and into a pile of Cheetos.” A so-called (cái gọi là) “tipster” tells the tabloid (báo lá cải), “This is the first time in years that Britney’s not worked out at least once a day… Sam is still hitting the gym hard, but Brit is kicking back.”
