"Fan service" nghĩa là gì?

"Fan service" = phục vụ người hâm mộ. Thuật ngữ này bắt nguồn từ cộng đồng người hâm mộ anime và manga về những cảnh hay nội dung được cố ý thêm vào một tác phẩm nhằm làm hài lòng khán giả hay độc giả. Về sau từ này được sử dụng phổ biến khi người nổi tiếng làm điều gì đó vì yêu cầu của fan.
Ví dụ
Often depicting (miêu tả) his characters in spicy situations (tình huống cay độc), and through particularly lewd (dâm dục) angles, Mashima's flagrant (trắng trợn) fan service through his character designs and art is one of the major reasons fans have come to love his series.

Obviously this isn’t some fan service that Disney is benevolently (nhân từ) handing out for our enjoyment – if you think so, you are wholeheartedly naive (vô cùng ngây thơ).
