"Get a rain check" nghĩa là gì?

Cụm từ 'rain check' xuất phát từ bộ môn bóng chày từ những năm 1880 khi trận đấu bị hoãn vì trời mưa hoặc trường hợp thời tiết quá xấu (cho dù đã bắt đầu nhưng bị hoãn) thì người hâm mộ/khán giả sẽ được vào cửa miễn phí vào ngày trận đấu đó diễn ra. -> cụm từ 'get a rain check' có nghĩa từ chối một lời đề nghị/lời mời nhưng vẫn mong muốn/hi vọng sau này sẽ được nhận lại đề nghị lời mời đó.
