'Hear on the grapevine' = nghe từ cây nho (dĩ nhiên là không rồi :D) -> nghe hay học được một thứ gì đó qua một nguồn tin không chính thức/chính thống (đặc biệt là mấy tin đồn).

What I hear on the grapevine is that the Greerton Village ‘communi-tree’ like to have their woolly (phủ len) and colourful trees socks on, to keep warm through winter.

“It’ll be really frenetic (điên cuồng, cuồng nhiệt) in the last three or four weeks. There’s so many clubs you hear on the grapevine are reducing their budget, and that might mean there’s an extra two players for each squad (nhóm) that’s not employed.

This falls in line with what we hear on the grapevine, from another source, that the 330e is not on the cards – supposedly, local assembly CKD operations for the G20 are due to start later this year, but the model (mẫu mã) set for production isn’t the PHEV.
