"It's on me" -> Tôi bao, tôi sẽ trả tiền/hóa đơn cho một bữa ăn uống nào đó.

When he was asked about who paid for the dinner by Kelly, Davidson responded by saying It's on me. The comedian also revealed that Kanye ordered the most expensive dishes.

Magali Trejo-Martinez, a 22-year-old living in Salem, Oregon, recently went on a date (đi hẹn hò) that was rather uninspiring. “I had dinner, had a couple margaritas, and then went home,” is how she recapped the evening. This outcome wasn’t entirely surprising—she says she wasn’t very interested in the guy when she agreed to go out with him—but it wasn’t a letdown (sự vỡ mộng, thất vọng) either, because it's on him. While her heart wasn’t in it, her stomach was: “I mean, if it’s dinner, I’m not going to say no, so that I don’t have to go home and cook,” she told me.

I can see you’re in quite the predicament (điều đã được dự đoán), and through no fault of your own. Everyone is entitled (được quyền làm) to choose how they wish to socialise and you certainly shouldn’t be penalised (phạt) for not indulging (nuông chiều, chiều theo) in a bev. It’s ridiculous! I have friends that don’t drink and when it comes to splitting (chia sẻ, tách ra) the bill, it’s automatically assumed that it's on them for what they had and part of the tip (tiền boa). That’s common sense, right? Unfortunately Maria, it seems your friends need a bit of a kick up the behind when it comes to conducting (chỉ dạy, khuyên răn) themselves at the end of a meal.
