"Shore leave" nghĩa là gì?

'Shore leave' nghĩa là thời gian nghỉ phép chính thức một thủy thủ chuyên nghiệp được phép lên bờ (thường nhậu/chè chén say sưa, bài bạc, ngủ với gái...), được hiểu là (khoảng thời gian) tự do trong hải quân Mỹ.

The game begins by placing the two players in control of a pair of navy blokes (thuyền trưởng; gã, chàng), back in what feels like a WWII era setting. This duo is enjoying some drunken shore leave at a fairground of sorts. You're soon shepherded (trông nom săn sóc, hướng dẫn, dẫn dắt) towards some sideshow attractions (điểm thu hút) that explain the mechanics of the game: one of you tries out a punching-based (đấm bốc) fairground challenge that teaches the combat controls (kỹ thuật chiến đấu); meanwhile, the other player goes to a fortune-teller (bói toán) booth where you learn the conversational and decision-making mechanics. Then you swap.
