"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" nghĩa là gì?

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" = vẻ đẹp trong mắt của người nhìn/ kẻ si tình -> xấu đẹp tủy mắt người nhìn/ yêu vào xấu cũng thành đẹp hết. "Beholder" nghĩa chính là người xem, người ngắm.
Ví dụ
It is not how the dog looks, but how he ‘Puppy Looks’ at his owner and she at him. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and the beheld.
When I was growing up, my father would remind (nhắc) me that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and my mother was my primary example of what beauty looked like: being kind and having the best smelling perfume (nước hoa thơm nức).
I am baffled (trở ngại) by the preoccupation (lo lắng) or rather the inquisitiveness (tò mò) surrounding age. And I pondered (trầm tư) on the ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder’ axiom (châm ngôn) for it seems more so “how-old-are you” questions which qualify the inquiry into one’s look.
