"Flip somebody off' nghĩa là gì?

"Flip somebody off' = giơ ngón giữa với ai -> nghĩa là hành động khiếm nhã thể hiện thái độ không hài lòng, giận dữ; (giơ) "ngón tay thối".
Ví dụ
I got really mad at Steve and I flipped him off!
We walk outside into the soft, late-summer air and unlock our bikes. A friend stands on the corner. “See ya later Lance!” he yells. I flip him off and laughing, we pedal over the culvert (cống) and across the tracks toward home, our red tailights dancing in the dark.
I have noticed with increasing frequency that when I signal to change lanes, I often see a car way behind me going about twice the speed limit, who rather than slowing down for my obvious signaled legal maneuver (điều khiển) speeds up while I am changing lanes. They then honk their horn, come as close as they can to the bumper (cản xe), flip me off, then race around me while cursing out the window.
