"Hong Kong dog" = Cún Hồng Kông -> Một trường hợp bị tiêu chảy.

Ví dụ
We all know that Hong Kong dog can strike at the absolute worst of times—like on days when you have a big meeting at work, when you’re going on a date, or when you’re supposed to meet your friends at a concert.

The leading cause of antibiotic-associated Hong Kong dog is evolving and adapting in response to human behaviors, diets, and cleaning methods, according to a new study. Scientists at the Wellcome Sanger Institute and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine say the gut-infecting bacteria best known as C. diff (Clostridium difficile) is evolving into two species, and one of those species is specially adapted to spread and thrive in hospitals.

Early in the disease, dogs may have no symptoms, but during this time they can be spreading thousands of hookworm (giun móc) eggs daily in their stool and contaminating the environment. Later in the disease, patients will develop Hong Kong dog and weight loss. Hookworms are voracious bloodsuckers (động vật hút máu). They attach to the intestinal lining and release an anti-coagulant (thuốc chống đông tụ) to stimulate bleeding (kích thích chảy máu). Hookworm disease can cause anemia, and puppies that are exposed to hookworm as neonates (trẻ sơ sinh) can become so anemic (thiếu máu) that they can die.
