"Cast your mind back" nghĩa là gì?

Một chút tưởng nhớ. Photo by Kimo Kremer on Unsplash

"Cast (one's) mind back" = cố nhớ lại. Thường đi với "to" theo sau là thời gian, sự kiện cụ thể

Ví dụ
If this seems hard to imagine (khó tưởng tượng), cast your mind back to the distant reaches (vùng xa xôi) of last summer, when it wasn’t the Amazon in the news but our own forest fires, which blanketed swaths (vùng cỏ bị bao trùm) of Western Canada in smoke.

Cast your mind back to 2009. It's almost like stepping back into a different geological era (kỷ nguyên địa chất). The iPhone was barely two years old, and a smartphone was a glamorous accessory (phụ kiện quyến rũ), not the device around which your entire life revolves.

“Johnson should cast his mind back to the European elections (bầu cử) in May, in which his party came fifth, and ask himself: does he want the Tories to find themselves in a similarly disastrous position (vị trí thảm hại) when the results of the next general election come in, or does he want to sign a non-aggression pact (hiệp ước không tấn công) with me and return to Downing Street?
