'Dead certain' -> nghĩa là hoàn toàn chắc chắn (dead = absolutely).

Ví dụ
We are dead certain that priority projects (dự án ưu tiên) will be pursued; medical assistance can be augmented (làm tăng thêm) in far-flung barangays. And surely schools that have shown the weight of time would be repaired and/or maintained accordingly.

“I think the idea behind it is to help encourage people reporting,” said Rex Peebles, the coordinating board’s assistant commissioner of academic quality and workforce. “There’s long been held the belief that all of this is under-reported ... but we don’t know that for dead certain, and this may help draw that out.”

The unreliable narrator (người kể chuyện) trope is here to stay. It’s paramount to the suspense genre with possibilities far beyond remorseless (không ăn năn, hối hận) sociopaths or unjustly maligned victims. Unreliable women can lie for all sorts of reasons or they can be dead certain they’re the only ones who know the truth.

When I speak with conservative voters, I hear there is only one way, their way. There is no Democrat worthy of the presidency and Medicare for all won’t work because it is too expensive. I listen mostly because they are dead certain their views are correct and no other view is worthy of consideration (cân nhắc). Plus, Trump is the answer because he hasn’t started a war.
