"Have a brush with" nghĩa là gì?

'Have a brush with something' có từ brush là bút lông, bút vẽ, bạn có thể hình dung nét bút phất, lướt nhẹ trên giấy, từ này nghĩa khác là cuộc chạm trán chớp nhoáng (với quân thù) -> cụm từ này nghĩa là gần chạm tới, trải qua (ngắn ngủi) (tình yêu, cái chết, phá sản v.v...).
