"No man is an island" = Không ai là một hòn đảo -> Mọi người cần có nhau để sống và tồn tại.

Ví dụ
No man is an island entire of itself; every man. is a piece of the continent (lục địa), a part of the main;. if a clod (đất đai) be washed away by the sea, Europe.

You can assume this discussion is totally, totally unimportant. Maybe it seems that way at first impulse (sự thúc đẩy), but, as has been expressed, no man is an island – we are all connected and we ought to act connected. Or would you rather imagine you are a U.S. senator and you’re meeting another senator of the opposite party and turn your head the other way so somebody doesn’t accuse you of smiling to the opposition – a traitor (kẻ phản bội) to your party?

Future-thinking leaders must also skilfully lead by being both confident and humble. While they should acknowledge that no man is an island (and they can’t achieve success on their own), they need to be able to inspire others to have confidence in them and their abilities. It may sound impossible to be both humble and confident at the same time, but in practice these two mindsets are quite complementary (bổ sung, bổ trợ lẫn nhau). Confidence is what prevents humility (sự khiêm nhường) from slipping into insecurity, and humility prevents confidence from becoming arrogance (sự kiêu ngạo).
