"Push someone's buttons" = bấm nút của ai -> nghĩa là làm những việc tạo ra phản ứng cảm xúc mạnh mẽ, đặc biệt là tức giận, cáu kỉnh hoặc điên tiết.

Ví dụ
We found some thought-provoking options on the website "Motherly" that you might want to try. Instead of asking how their day was, how about what was the funniest thing that happened today? Did anyone push your buttons today? What rule (luật lệ) was the hardest to follow today? Who made you smile today?

If being online is difficult, set your privacy settings to see only posts or tweets from people you follow. Avoid negative (tiêu cực) people. Create an online community filled with truth-tellers and inspiration. Stop trying to change people or engage (gây chiến) with people who push your buttons. As Maya Angelou said, “When people show you who they are, believe them.”

Some people like to push your buttons. Don’t let them. Absorb (tiếp nhận) what the other person is saying or doing, but don’t allow him or her to trigger a reaction. Self-control takes practice and it will serve you much better than a knee-jerk response.
