"Tight as a drum" nghĩa là gì?

"(As) tight as a drum" = căng như da của mặt trống. Nghĩa bóng là bịt kín quá chặt hoặc an toàn đến nỗi nước hoặc không khí không thể thoát ra hay xâm nhập vào.
Ví dụ
Sergeant Zorn's red jacket is stretched tight as a drum across his substantial gut (thắt chặt ruột).
