"A cold day in hell" nghĩa là gì?

"A cold day in hell" = ngày lạnh lẽo ở địa ngục -> nghĩa là sự việc bất khả thi được sử dụng để ám chỉ điều mà người nói nghĩ rằng sẽ không bao giờ xảy ra.

Ví dụ
“It will be a cold day in hell before Southwest starts moving away from 737s because that’s all they got,” Hart said, referring to Southwest Airlines Co (LUV.N), which has canceled (hủy) flights into January because of the MAX grounding.

Most audio editing programs these days have gone cross-platform (đa nền tảng). I thought it would be a cold day in hell before Digital Performer made it to the PC and FL Studio made it to the Mac, yet both these things have happened.

It will be a cold day in hell before I vote for another bond issue for the AVUHSD. From what I have read in the Antelope Valley Press recently it seems that a cabal (phe đảng) is running AVUHSD and now in addition to the petty (nhỏ nhặt) politics they have raised the fees for new home construction.
