"Act of faith" nghĩa là gì?

"Act of faith" = hành động chứng minh đức tin/ niềm tin của mình vào tôn giáo hoặc điều gì đó/ ai đó.
Ví dụ
Since gods were ambivalent (lẫn lộn), rituals (nghi lễ) were an important part in the belief. Rituals required an act of faith and performing them helped confirm a belief in a god.
It would have taken enormous courage for those men to risk their lives (mạo hiểm bản thân) by blowing the shofar (một loại kèn). Such an act of faith during the war was hardly an isolated episode.
“I’ve been here a long time. Somebody needed to do this a long time ago. Mostly, I’m excited about the quality of the players. This is going to work.” There are promising signs (dấu hiệu đầy hứa hẹn) that he’s right. But it’s still very much an act of faith.
