"Bounce an idea off (of someone)" = đưa ra ý kiến của mình (với ai) -> cụm từ này nghĩa là chia sẻ, thảo luận một ý tưởng, kế hoạch cùng ai với mong muốn thu nhận ý kiến phản hồi để trau chuốt, cải thiện nó theo hướng tốt hơn.

Ví dụ
“The truth is we can kind of talk about anything and sometimes when I need advice or I need to bounce an idea off of somebody, she’s great for it.” Scott and Sofia Richie, 21, have been dating for over 2 years now.

'Bruce,' he said warmly, 'I'd like to bounce an idea off of you. As my caddy (người phục dịch cho người đánh gôn), I have great respect for your opinions—not just about golf, but about international affairs as well. I trust your judgment (cách nhìn), almost as much as I trust Jared's.'

No matter how long you’ve been together or how well you believe you know them, your partner’s career is ultimately (rốt cuộc) in their hands. You can help by looking over their resume (lý lịch), being a thought leader when they need to bounce an idea off of you and lend a listening ear in stressful times, but you can’t make them love their gig (công việc tạm thời của bạn).
