"Flowery speech" nghĩa là gì?

"Flowery speech/ writing" = cuộc nói chuyện/ lối hành văn hoa mỹ nhưng vô nghĩa.
Ví dụ
Instead of a long and flowery speech, he said the award was "a great surprise and an honour."
You don’t have to launch into (đưa ra) a flowery speech, just look them straight in the eye and say, “I missed you. I was so excited to see you today”.
Granted (tráng lệ), it’s clearly his style. His wild metaphors (ẩn dụ), the flowery speech and the grand promises about how proud he is to be manager here are so different to what we are used to.
If you think flowery writing is weak in general, you probably fool yourself into experiencing all flowery writing as weaker than you otherwise would. So you might as well let your theories show—so the writer can see how to distrust (hoài nghi) you.
