"For two cents" = để lấy 2 xu -> cụm từ này nghĩa là vì một khoản tiền rất ít hoặc không vì gì cả.

Ví dụ
Leaving wasn’t his choice, of course. Everyone knows that. He raised his kids here on Walnut Street, opened a martial arts (võ thuật) studio and sold candy for two cents apiece (mỗi cái) at his convenience store.

We saw an opportunity to use new technology to turn the broadcast into a DVD and sell it for two cents as a publicity stunt (quảng cáo): ‘Netflix lets consumers put in their two cents regarding Clinton testimony.’ We got nearly 5,000 new customers and press exposure in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post.

“We can provide universal child care and pre-K, raise wages for child-care providers and pre-K teachers, make college free for anyone who wants to go, and we can cancel student debt for up to ninety-five per cent of people. We can do all of that for two cents on the dollar.” As she left the stage, dozens of people, including Castro, scuttled off to join her selfie line.
