"Get into a jam" nghĩa là gì?

"Get into (bit of) a jam" = rơi vào lọ mứt -> cụm từ này nghĩa là lâm vào tình thế rắc rối.
Ví dụ
A union that represents thousands of federal (thuộc về liên bang) law enforcement agents says others among their ranks are now facing discipline on the job. And drug-testing experts say non-government employees can also get into a jam at work, even if the CBD oil they take is legal (hợp pháp).
Of course, you don't really want that interest rate (lãi suất) to come into play; ideally, you should pay your credit card bill in full every month to avoid interest. But sometimes, people get into a jam, and if that happens, having a lower interest rate attached to your card will help keep the damage to a minimum.
Neighbors called 911. Within a few moments, the law arrived as did an ambulance. Firefighters came, too, for they are tasked with rescuing us when we get into a jam. We ask the police and sheriff’s (quận trưởng cảnh sát) deputies (người đại diện) to keep order and investigate crimes and crashes. We expect ambulance crews and paramedics (người được huấn luyện để làm công tác cấp cứu khi bác sĩ vắng mặt) to rush to accidents, provide first aid (sơ cứu), comfort us and give us a ride to the hospital if needed.
