"Half a mind" nghĩa là gì?

"Half a mind" = một nửa tâm trí -> có ý định làm việc gì đó nhưng cùng lúc lại không muốn làm; do dự, lưỡng lự, phân vân.
Ví dụ
I have half a mind to tell her what I really think of her.
While I don’t believe the Democratic primary is between Gabbard and Clinton, I do half a mind to register as a Democrat just so I can caucus (họp kín) for Gabbard in February.
I'm sitting here now trying to decide what to do. She and I never discussed this dinner being my treat (bữa tối do tôi thanh toán/mời/bao), and this is the place she suggested. I have half a mind to separate the checks (hóa đơn), pay mine and leave her info on her check for the restaurant to sort out. Technically she dined and dashed (ăn xong rồi bỏ đi, không thanh toán).
