"Like money in the bank" nghĩa là gì?

"Like money in the bank" = như tiền nằm trong ngân hàng. Người Mỹ dùng thành ngữ này để chỉ tài sản đáng tin, một chuyện gì đó chắc chắn sẽ thành công, y như tiền được gửi trong ngân hàng vậy, không thể mất mát được. Cụm từ này thường được dùng khi người ta muốn bán cổ phần trong một công ty, hay hối thúc người khác đầu tư vào một chuyện làm ăn, công ty và phải trấn an người mua rằng việc đó hoặc công ty đó rất tốt, thuận lợi.
Ví dụ
“People don’t believe that any Australian city will have a Day Zero,” he says. “I’m not so sure. Granted, Australia currently has plenty of groundwater, but water in the ground is like money in the bank – if you have more going out than coming in, you’ll eventually (rốt cuộc) end up in trouble.”
This batter (bột nhão làm bánh) must be prepared in advance (trước). “A batch (mẻ bánh) of crêpes (bánh kếp) in the freezer is like money in the bank because the thin pancakes are the basis of so many economical yet elegant (thanh lịch) dishes,” reads a 1979 Taste story that republished this “simple, egg-rich” recipe (công thức).
What is more valuable than a brand (or personal) reputation (danh tiếng)? Many PR deliverables (chuyển giao) are powerful in building reputation over time, and social media accelerates and amplifies (mở rộng, phóng đại) their impact. A glowing review (or unfortunate video interview) can blow up on social platforms in the time it takes to say, “Call the PR firm.” It’s hard to put a price tag on customer loyalty (lòng trung thành) or positive perception, but in today’s unpredictable media environment, it’s like money in the bank.
