"Like turkeys voting for Christmas" = Như mấy con gà tây bầu chọn lễ Giáng sinh -> Chọn/quyết định tình huống mà mình không thích, có thể gây nguy hiểm cho mình và cuối cùng sẽ nhận kết cục thảm bại như mấy con gà tây bị làm món ăn chính trong dịp Noel.
